TALLAHASSEE, FL – This morning, Representative Berny Jacques (R-Seminole) and Representative Taylor Yarkosky (R-Clermont) co-filed HB 359. This legislation will strengthen our statewide election integrity by banning all foreign made election machines and software in our state, and will also empower election workers to hand-count ballots at the precinct level.

“Florida has made tremendous progress when it comes to election security, but our work is not over.” said Representative Jacques. “This bill further secures our elections by proactively banning foreign interference in our voting system supply chain, while also bolstering confidence in our tabulation procedures.” 

“First off, I want to commend Governor DeSantis and Speaker Renner for their unwavering commitment to election integrity.” said Representative Yarkosky.“That being said, Rep. Jacques and I are continuing this never-ending battle. We will always fight to deliver on this most important issue for our voters and our elections process in general!”
