The three candidates are running to replace Nick DiCeglie in the House.

Berny Jacques continues to lead the House District 59 field in fundraising, collecting more than $20,000 last month as he faces Dipak Dinanath Nadkarni and Jennifer Wilson for the Republican nomination.

Jacques, a former prosecutor and previous conservative analyst for Bay News 9, reported raising $20,325 in April between his HD 59 campaign and Jacques’ affiliated political committee, Florida Values Coalition.

Carroll currently serves on the Largo City Commission.

Former Largo Police Chief John Carroll has announced his endorsement of Republican candidate Berny Jacques for House District 66.

Carroll, who was appointed as the city’s police chief in 2010, later retired after over three decades of service. He currently serves on the Largo City Commission, first elected in 2014 and subsequently re-elected in 2018.

Seminole Professional Firefighters Association backs Berny Jacques

The former prosecutor and conservative analyst for Bay News 9 is running to replace Nick DiCeglie in the Florida House.

The Seminole Professional Firefighters Association (IAFF Local 2896) has announced its endorsement of Republican candidate Berny Jacques for House District 66. 

In announcing its endorsement, the group cited Jacques’ commitment to “guarding our liberties and working hard for a strong economy,” among his other campaign platforms.

“Mr. Jacques has expressed a love for District 66 that has our membership excited to stand behind his election campaign.

St. Petersburg Republican Alen Tomczak led August fundraising reports in the race to succeed Rep. Nick DiCeglie for House District 66, with Seminole Republican Berny Jacques still leading in overall fundraising.

Jacques, a former prosecutor and former conservative analyst for Bay News 9, raised $7,425 in August, according to his most recent campaign finance report. Jacques’ affiliated political committee, Florida Values Coalition, did not report any fundraising or expenditures for the past month.

Seminole Republican Berny Jacques led June’s fundraising reports in the race to succeed Rep. Nick DiCeglie for House District 66.

Jacques, a former prosecutor and former conservative analyst for Bay News 9, reported $13,185 raised in June for his campaign. Jacques’ associated political committee, Florida Values Coalition, did not report any fundraising or expenditures for the past month.

St. Petersburg Republican Alen Tomczak, who entered the race in early March, trailed Jacques in June, raising $4,860.
