The Florida Fraternal Order of Police is endorsing former prosecutor Berny Jacques for House District 59.
The state order represents more than 24,000 law enforcement officers. The local FOP District 3 also offered support for Jacques.
“As we approach the 2022 elections we are aware that strong leaders are needed to lead Florida to a prosperous and safe future. We need leaders that are dedicated to serving their constituents and have the backs of the law enforcement officers protecting the citizens in their community,” the Florida FOP said in a statement.

“We need more conservative leaders like Berny Jacques in Tallahassee…”
Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard wants to see former prosecutor and conservative TV analyst Berny Jacques take House District 59 this November.
Hibbard on Tuesday threw his support behind Jacques, a fellow Republican whom he described as having “tremendous support” from local community leaders.
“(He) has taken the time to understand the needs of our community,” Hibbard said in a statement.

LARGO (FLV) – Congressman Byron Donalds endorsed Berny Jacques in the Republican primary to serve as state representative for House District 59.
“We need Conservatives like Berny Jacques representing us in the Florida House,” Donalds said. “Berny will fight for our 2nd Amendment, defend the unborn, and will stand up for our American values against the woke left. I strongly endorse Berny Jacques because he is a conservative we can trust to deliver results for Florida.”
Jacques served as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit.

The three candidates are running to replace Nick DiCeglie in the House.
Berny Jacques continues to lead the House District 59 field in fundraising, collecting more than $20,000 last month as he faces Dipak Dinanath Nadkarni and Jennifer Wilson for the Republican nomination.
Jacques, a former prosecutor and previous conservative analyst for Bay News 9, reported raising $20,325 in April between his HD 59 campaign and Jacques’ affiliated political committee, Florida Values Coalition.

Carroll currently serves on the Largo City Commission.
Former Largo Police Chief John Carroll has announced his endorsement of Republican candidate Berny Jacques for House District 66.
Carroll, who was appointed as the city’s police chief in 2010, later retired after over three decades of service. He currently serves on the Largo City Commission, first elected in 2014 and subsequently re-elected in 2018.
